Joanie Conoly is a creative artist born and raised in central Alabama who has been dedicated to her craft since she was a young girl under the tutelage of well-respected portrait artist Diddy Vucovich, who taught her during her high school years at Montgomery Catholic Preparatory School.
Joanie’s passion and motivation for art is an inspiration from God and the beauty of His creation.
She is married with four children, three girls (Eleanor, Margaret and Mary Evans) and one boy (Charlie). Joanie recovered her love for art after being commissioned by her mother-in-law for a painting to go in their beautiful new home.
For Joanie, art brings joy to her soul. She says, ‘We are all called to use our gifts and talents to serve the Lord. I feel like I am using what the Lord has given me to do just that.’
The abstract artist and loving mother is also a philanthropist who donates a part of the money she makes from her paintings to help with various organizations. In the past she has partnered with an organization called ‘Choose Water’ who builds wells and provides clean drinking water to parts of the impoverished nation of Africa. She also feels led to donate to the religious order “Little Sisters of The Poor.”
